How to Edit Videos on an iPhone

The built-in Photos app lets you trim the video runtime, rotate it, apply filters, adjust video exposure, and enhance it with a few taps. But you can’t use it to edit more than a video at a time. For advanced features, like selecting multiple videos and photos to combine into a single movie or adding music and voice recordings to your video, iOS users have to resort to video editing apps on the App Store.

One such app is iMovie, part of Apple’s own suite of products, a free video editor, and a movie maker app for both iOS and macOS. It is not in the same league as more expensive and complex video editing software, but it’s great for quickly and easily editing videos from an iPhone or iPad.

In this article, we’re going to use iMovie to add music, insert text, and combine videos on an iPhone. If you just want to use the basic features of the built-in Photos app to edit videos on your iPhone, check out this article.
